A Certificate of Achievement is awarded upon completion of all required courses with a grade of C or better.
Effective: Academic Year 2019-20
We anticipate being able to support 20-25 annual completions.
This curriculum was previously a local Occupational Skills Certificate. We would like to better align with PCC's college-wide goals by adding our College 1 introductory course and "converting" our Occupational Skills Certificates into Certificates of Achievement.
This certificate establishes a baseline of skills that are stackable with our other certificates to ensure students successful integration into our department. We anticipate this curriculum will increase success rates for our courses.
The inclusion of our Web Design & Development course in this foundation level certificate ensures that all students who choose to start with this curriculum gain some coding experience and are prepared to succeed in our more challenging art and design-based coding courses.
