Public health policy calls for culturally appropriate mental health services and education. Mental health education is a vital tool in the prevention of diseases and the mitigating efforts of numerous illnesses. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, minorities are disproportionally impacted by mental illnesses. Educational institutions play a role in supporting public policy to reduce health inequalities. Hi Jeff, Given this appears to be a non-credit program it would not need to come through BACCC for regional recommendation. Likewise for future, any regional recommendations require that Centers of Excellence data be attached. Colleges can also attach any of their own data, but we can only process requests that have the COE data. By all means let me know if you have any questions! Kit (650) 274-5236 c
