The Food and Beverage Management Advanced Associates in Science Degree at Orange Coast College is designed to prepare students for managerial career advancement within the food and beverage industry by providing learning opportunities which introduce, develop, and reinforce occupational knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for career success.
The Food and Beverage Management Department offers a varied curriculum focusing on food and beverage management, dining room service, bar management, sustainable food systems, food recovery and catering. Classroom studies are reinforced with practical experience in the Captain's Table Restaurant, Organic Waste Management through composting and Food Repurposing Kitchen.

The goal of this program is to prepare students with the operational and managerial capabilities needed for career advancement within the food & beverage industry.
Students are required to complete 25-5 units of coursework for the pre-requisite Food and Beverage Management Certificate of Achievement, plus 47-48 units of required coursework for the major program, and an additional 18 units of General Education Breadth courses to earn the degree.
