This program will prepare students for an entry-level position in the field of data analytics and data science. The foundation of this program is statistics, but courses will be practical and geared toward immediately usable techniques based on widely available tools.
We estimate 45 completions per year.
The goal of this program is immediate, gainful employment in the field of data science and data analytics.
This program consists of four required courses. Beginning with statistics, and introduction to programming methods and concepts in the Python language, it moves into the use of data science methods and tools to make sense of large datasets and to tell the story represented in the data. The program culminates with a practical introduction to machine learning tools and techniques and their use to find even more obscure or complex patterns in data.
