Social media has revolutionized the way businesses interact with consumers. This program is designed to give students an understanding of the concepts involved in marketing and the role social media play in advertising, public relations,branding, and corporate communication strategies.
Students will gain practical skills and learn the latest technical tools in social media through various projects / assignments.

Social Media is a growing area, which utilizes web-based communication tools that enable people to interact with each other by both sharing and consuming information. In order to provide a direct avenue for students to gain the skills necessary for an entry level position in Social Media, the Department would like to offer this certificate.

The program requires 5 classes, 3 of which can be taken inone semester and 2 of which can be taken in the following semester. All are core classes that build a students socialmedia technology skills. The program isdesigned for students looking to get employed in a corporate environment.
