The IT Specialist Certificate of Achievement is the recommended pathway for students who seek to to enter the career field of information technology and have little to no previous experience within the industry. Students will be guided through a series of courses exposing them to basic computer concepts, applications, terminology and progress to more detailed curriculum focused on skills building for computer hardware support, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, as well as skills relating to server maintenance and troubleshooting, relational databases, and systems design and analysis. Students will be prepared to take the CompTIA ITF+ and A+ certification examinations making them viable applicants for entry level positions within information technology. This pathway will also prepare students for additional certificate programs such as Networking Fundamentals and Cybersecurity.
It is projected that 20 students will complete annually.
