The Business Human Resources Certificate of Achievement is designed for students who seek the core Human Resources skills involved in working within a small business. This program is designed for students who want to add Human Resources abilities to their current skill set without the additional coursework of a broader education.
For further studies consider the Business Administration Associate degree with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship.
Students planning to transfer to a university to earn a bachelor's degree should consider the Associate in Science in Business Administration for Transfer (AS-T in Business Administration) degree.
We project 10-15 students will earn this certificate annually.
Based on Program Review, the Business department has reformatted its ready-to-work programs to focus more on their specialty areas of study rather than a broader education. The Human Resources Certificate of Achievement is concentrated and avoids duplicity, providing students a quicker path to the core skills required by an occupational change, career growth, or immediate placement into an entry level position. Upon successful completion of the program, students will demonstrate an ability to demonstrate the core Human Resources skills involved in working within a small business.
