Over the course of this training program, we'll teach you a variety of skills, including how to:
· Collect, compile, and clean raw data (often from multiple different sources).
· Tell stories by helping analyze, interpret, visualize, and report on what secrets are in the data.
· Draw conclusions and make recommendations that will help your business to grow.
· Organize and manage how your company stores, archives, and deletes data securely, and legally.
· Help predict the future by modeling, forecasting, and anticipating what might come next.
In addition to these technical skills, you will learn “soft” skills, which will help you grow as a software developer and allow you to progress in your career.
Learn to use the most in-demand tools and programming languages: Excel, Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI, Python and SQL.
The program anticipates approximately two to five completions annually.
The goal of the program is to provide students the opportunity to pursue a career as a data analyst as well as prepare for related employment opportunities. Students will also receive an apprenticeship certification with the United States Department of Labor (DOL) and the California Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS).

It is helpful to determine the need for a program if the Advisory committee meeting notes or minutes includes information on who is at the meeting. Also, the LMI data provided is not definitively demonstrating a need for this program (39 openings/year)
