The Apparel Construction Certificate of Achievement takes students from basic sewing skills through the advanced construction techniques and sequences used to sew complex garments in the fashion industry. Students will learn both home and industry methods for proper garment construction and fitting.
5-10 students per year
The goals for students of this program are:
- Employment in the fashion industry such as technical designers, sample makers, and production/manufacturing staff.
- Create their own fashion business
- Transfer to a 4 year college for a Bachelors degree in fashion design
- Lifelong learning; designing and making clothing for themselves, friends, and family
