The Multimedia Content Creation for the Internet Certificate of Achievement was developed to satisfy industry demand for social media managers. Many video/audio industry jobs require or request that the applicant be well versed in social media. Additionally, our Industry Advisers explained that although the most important aspect of a media journalist is to be able to identify and tell a story, currently the need to be able to tell it in several different formats, they also need to “add knowledge of different social media/distribution platforms to their arsenal.” (BEMA Digital Media Industry Advisory – April 2018) This certificate will prepare the student for positions as social media managers, content creators and internet content providers. It will allow current media professionals to update their skills to improve their employment options.
