This certificate is to provide graduates with the skills needed to defend networks and information systems against cyber-attacks . Students receive extensive hands-on experience and develops the knowledge andabilities necessary to succeed in protection of an organization’s data andoperations. It is a rigorous program designed to help students master thefundamentals of cybersecurity by applying industry-accepted and emergingpractices to solve real-world security problems. Upon completion of theprogram, students will be able to evaluate security trends, recognize bestpractices, and understand IT security products and threats. Some careeropportunities associated with this degree include: security analyst, networksystems security administrator, security policy analyst, and more.

Completers are prepared for entry-level Cyber positions across industry and government,and have an opportunity to sit for nationally recognized certifications from Cisco and CompTIA.

Colleges in the collaborative teach select courses in the program and commit to roles and responsibilities as participating partners. Students enrolling in the collaborative program would complete theprogram in a cohort model taking courses from all three colleges. Students are required to complete the “Questfor Success” modules prior to enrollment in a cohort. Students receive student support serviceswhile enrolled in the collaborative program
