This Certificate of Achievement prepares students for an entry-level position in the autonomous vehicle manufacturing and electric vehicle repair industries
Automotive Technology and CIS expect to continue the enrollment trends for these classes. Current openings in automotive technology each year are well over 200 job openings.
De Anza College’s Automotive Technician program is a part-time, evening program that is dedicated to providing education and technical training to individuals currently employed in the automotive industry and individuals wishing to enter the automotive industry. De Anza offers both programs for union-affiliated and non-union apprentices. The curriculum is modularized so students can pursue Certificates of Completion in several automotive specialty areas in tandem. Students wishing to gain a more in-depth understanding of different automotive systems can continue to take classes towards other Certificates of Achievement. By adding CIS classes to this new certificate, students are able to have more opportunities upon completion. The Certificate of Achievement in Autonomous and Electric Vehicle Technologies (Level 1) is one of two specialized certificate programs that combine automotive technology and computer information systems.
