MiraCosta, obviously, endorses as a modification that includes a streamlined version of the original program with classes consolidated and/or removed in an attempt to get students into the workforce, though, that workforce has below living wage and require a bachelors degree.

MiraCosta College submitted the appropriate LMI from the COE. The COE recommends proceeding with caution when developing a new program, but supports a program modification because 1) there is a supply gap; 2) there is a high number of annual job openings; but 3) entry-level wages are below the living wage for some occupations. The colleges should also note that employers typically require a bachelor's degree as the minimum educational requirement.
